Heart and Bones was originally released in 1983. It was originally intended as a Simon and Garfunkel release, however, creative tensions arose and Paul Simon chose instead to rework the material and release it as a solo album. Although on its initial release it was considered a commercial failure, it has been reappraised since and is considered the most under-rated Paul Simon album.
