The Dream is beginning to come true.

Updated: May 27, 2020

We took delivery of our first shipment of stock yesterday and over the last 24 hours we've been cataloging it and putting it up on the website. Its taken a long time to get to this stage, but we're delighted to finally get here. We have a hell of a lot of hard work still to do mind, and lots and lots of cool ideas (we hope!) we want to share with the world.

We tried to get a good mix of stock for our first shipment, we've got some great albums for sale at great prices. Some which we have loved for a long time, some which we have come to love recently and some that we haven't even heard yet but heard great things and we hope to hear very soon. It wasn't easy to narrow down our choices to something within our start up budget and we've got so many more records we will be adding to our stock in time. We hope you'll agree with at least some of our picks for the genesis of The Turntable Record Store, and if not, we've already got an order of more on the way in the next week or so. We're currently listening to one of the albums we picked for the first lot of stock, an album by Solange called 'A seat at the table' that we recently added to our personal collection. It's very good and well worth trying if you're into a bit of chilled out R'n'B. If you've followed our instagram account you'll know we have a wide range of taste in music, from Solange to Metallica to Neil Young to The Smiths to Willie Bobo to Beyonce. We love to give records we haven't heard before a chance, and thats why we think our coffee and vinyl subscription club will be great for you guys. We do the digging and you reap the rewards with great tastes and sounds that won't end with our recommendation. Our offering each month is merely the gateway to a whole new world, a sub genre, a flavour.

We've thoroughly enjoyed getting set up so far, and we can't wait to really get going and work hard doing something we love and building a business to be proud of. We are acutely aware at the moment, with the Covid-19 pandemic, that we are very lucky to have the opportunity to do this, and we are determined to make the most of it.

Love to you all,

Matt and Bex
